Our Head Chef - Salvatore

Growing up in Sicily, Salvatore started working in kitchens at the age of 13, prepping the food for the pizza chef at his first restaurant job. By the time he was 17, he was working as a Chef De Partie in an Italian restaurant, managing his own section in the kitchen. In 2000, Salvatore moved to the UK to expand his knowledge and experience in the kitchen by working his way up to a head chef position in a renowned Italian restaurant in London. In 2012 he moved yet again to France and worked in multiple Italian restaurants, exploring different cooking styles and techniques. In 2020 he took the final decision to do a final move back to the UK which he now calls home and has been cooking incredible Italian cuisine at Buon Gusto ever since.
